Cabrillo College To Stream Entire TED Conference Wednesday

The college will stream the famous annual TED conference from 8:30 a.m. until 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Aptos, CA – In partnership with TEDx Santa Cruz, Cabrillo College today announces that it will stream the entire TED 2013 conference on Wednesday, February 27, from 8:30 a.m. – 6:45 p.m., in the Crocker Theater, via a live stream broadcast from the TED 2013 Conference in Long Beach. The TED 2013 conference theme is: "The Young. The Wise. The Undiscovered."

Started as a conference in 1984 to bring people from the Technology, Entertainment and Design worlds together, TED now includes two annual conferences - the TED Conference on the West Coast each spring, and the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh UK each summer.TED includes the award-winning TED Talks video site, the Open Translation Project andTED Conversations, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TEDPrize.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity for the Santa Cruz County community to see a variety of experts in the fields of technology, entertainment, and design give inspiring talks on their cutting-edge work in these fields,” said John Graulty, Dean of Cabrillo’s Visual, Applied and Performing Arts Department. “Cabrillo students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to stop by the Crocker Theater throughout the day on Wednesday to be inspired!”
