“Roof Raisin’ Art” Exhibit

Where/When: Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center, 9341 Mill St., Ben Lomond. Now through Sept. 22. Wednesdays-Sundays, noon-6 p.m.

What: The Art Center’s newest exhibit, “Roof Raisin’ Art,” is opening with a reception on Friday where the public can meet the artists.

Piano Night at Malone’s

Where/When: Malone’s Grille, 4402 Scotts Valley Dr. Friday, 9 p.m.

What: The longtime Scotts Valley bar and restaurant recently underwent a facelift and one of the new features is a piano bar. Join Chris Kelly on the piano to sing your favorite songs every Wednesday and Friday. Chris rocks the house with sing-alongs, humor and fun-filled entertainment, and best of all, he takes requests.

Scotts Valley Artisans Crafter's Market

Where/When: Scotts Valley Artisans, 230D Mt. Hermon Rd. (in the parking lot), Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

What: Celebrate summer with local artists every Saturdays at this weekly summer crafter's market, featuring the original work of Santa Cruz County fine artists and artisans. This "local artists only" event showcases the work of our artistically-rich county in a family-friendly, outdoor setting.

Price: Admission is free. Arts and crafts will be available for purchase at various prices.

Garden Planter Workshop

Where/When: Quail Hollow Ranch, 800 Quail Hollow Road, Felton. Sunday, 10 a.m.-noon.

Where: Master gardeners Carri Wagner and Simon Stapleton will be on hand to teach people how to create Hypertufa planters from lightweight cement, Perlite and peat moss. For more information, call 831-335-9348.
