Meet Junneen Lee-McCombs

Scotts Valley mother of two is known for being creative, organized and detailed.

Scotts Valley resident Junneen Lee-McCombs wears many hats—as a contracts manager for a medical supplies company and owner of two businesses. She's also a busy mother, with kids who are 1 and 3, who finds time to travel, sew, design websites, read and create new products.

Patch actually caught up with her to ask her a few questions.

Junneen Lee-McCombs: I actually have a few right now. During the day, I work as a contracts manager for a medical supplies company. I am also the co-owner of the Scotts Valley Boat & RV Storage lot and the owner/operator of thebundleshop.com. The bundle shop is by far the most rewarding. I love sourcing fabrics and designing everyday baby items.

Patch: What is something you are known for?

Lee-McCombs: Being creative, organized and detailed.

Patch: What is your latest project?

Lee-McCombs: I tend to have several going at once. The most recent is designing a new tooth fairy pillow to add to my product line. It’s currently in production. I also recently built and re-launched my website (thebundleshop.com) and also built my husband’s website, jandjremodel.com.

Patch: Book you last read?

Lee-McCombs: Deluxe: How Luxury Lost its Luster.

Patch: Newspaper or magazine you read regularly?

Lee-McCombs: Elle, Elle Décor, InStyle and Vogue—I love to keep up on the current fashion and home design trends.

Patch: Movie you could watch again and again?

Lee-McCombs: Sweet Home Alabama and The Notebook.

Patch: Favorite thing to do in your spare time?

Lee-McCombs: I love to spend time with my family and friends. I also love to sew and design new products.

Patch: What is one of your most gratifying accomplishments?

Lee-McCombs: When I was 19 years old, I traveled by myself to Hong Kong to secure funding for the transfer and implementation of medical equipment in a Beijing children’s hospital for The Rotary Club of Scotts Valley. I was completely out of my comfort zone; this is one of those times when I look back and was glad my dad gave me that extra push to go. I am grateful to have had that experience and personal growth at that age.

Patch: What is your greatest indulgence?

Lee-McCombs: To have an endless budget in the Hermes boutique in Paris with my best friend. Everything is better when you share it with someone!

Patch: One of your most memorable vacations?

Lee-McCombs: Traveling to China—Shanghai, Suzhou and Beijing with my dad (Jun Lee) and learning about Chinese culture.

Patch: What is a goal you are chasing after?

Lee-McCombs: My next goal is to head to the L.A. fabric district in the next couple of months to source new fabrics. I know it seems like a small goal, but when you have a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old, taking off for the weekend isn’t always easy. I am planning some new marketing partnerships and would also like to find the time to get my product line into more stores. Zinnia’s in Scotts Valley has been selling my blankets since 2008 when I started my business, and they have been very supportive.

Patch: What do you like most about life in Scotts Valley?

Lee-McCombs: I love living in Scotts Valley, because the weather is amazing, and it’s a great small town to raise kids.
