Centerpieces Using Fruits, Flowers and Veggies

Instructors: Karla McIntyre, Cynthia Jordan, Master Gardeners

Children and adults love this class! Turn a simple orange into a bouquet of beauty or let your imagination run wild with artichokes and pumpkins. Nothing says "special occasion" like a beautiful and unique centerpiece for your holiday gatherings. Learn how to make your own one-of-a-kind designs by using peppers and melons for vases, snap peas for greenery, and fall plant material from your own garden. Be sure to bring a camera to capture creative ideas that bring beauty to any table setting or fireplace mantle.

Lots of free parking, easy access.

Can You Dig It! gardening and lifestyle workshops are hosted by Monterey Bay Master Gardeners at the Aptos Farmers Market. From plant propagation to succulent wreath making, not only will you learn — you’ll go home with a finished project from the workshop. Instructors will provide a demonstration and then invite you to try your hand at DIY gardening activities. Can you dig it? For fall class workshop schedule, see Can You Dig It!
