Add these fun events to your weekend calendar.

Santa Cruz County Fair

Where/When: Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, 2601 E. Lake Ave., Watsonville. Thursday and Friday, noon to 11 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

What: The fair is here and is the perfect place for family fun over the weekend. Along with everyone’s favorite fair foods, there will be carnival rides, live entertainment, exhibit and animals.

Price: $10 for adults; $5 for children 6 to 12; $6 for seniors 62 and older; and $5 for parking.

Piano Night at Malone’s

Where/When: Malone’s Grille, 4402 Scotts Valley Dr. Friday, 9 p.m.

What: The longtime Scotts Valley bar and restaurant recently underwent a facelift and one of the new features is a piano bar. Join Chris Kelly on the piano to sing your favorite songs every Wednesday and Friday. Chris rocks the house with sing-alongs, humor and fun-filled entertainment, and
best of all, he takes requests.

Price: Admission is free. Food and beverages are available at various prices.

“Roof Raisin’ Art” Exhibit

Where/When: Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center, 9341 Mill St., Ben Lomond. Now through Sept. 22. Wednesdays-Sundays, noon-6 p.m.

What: The Art Center’s newest exhibit, “Roof Raisin’ Art,” is now on display at the art center featuring the works of over 30 local artists.

Price: Free

Community Poetry Circle

Where/When: Scotts Valley Library, 251 Kings Village Rd. Saturday, 2-4 p.m.

What: Local poet/teacher Magdalena Montagne will be at the library leading a free writing workshop for the community. In the poetry circle,
students will write new works in a supportive and fun environment. All levels and ages are encouraged to attend.
