Grab and Go Kids Planner

A special fundraiser for Bryan Stow and his family, an SAT workshop, a family music jam, a presentation of Aladdin and a celebration of the Santa Cruz surfing museum are our suggestions in this week's Kids Planner.

Where/When: , 7 Camp Evers Lane. Sunday, 10-11 a.m.

Why Go: Do something for yourself and your kids at the same time as you do something to help Bryan Stow and his family. One to One Health, a new personal training and group fitness class studio, is offering a special three-part class that will get you feeling better in more ways than one. It's a class that everyone can do and 90 percent of the fees you pay will go to the Stow family.

Why Go: Yes, it's a Sunday, and probably the last thing your teen wants to do is go to an SAT workshop. But it will be well worth their while. The session includes a one-hour practice exam and a 1 ½ to 2 hour SAT Strategy Workshop. Registration is required. The workshop is offered by Higher Standards.

Pricing: Free

Where/When: , 701 W. Cliff Dr., Santa Cruz, Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Why Go: Together you and your children can celebrate 25 years of the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum and all it has done to document the history of surfing. Surf stars, 10 woodies, music and refreshments will make the day special.

Pricing: Free

Where/When: 2701 Cabrillo College Dr., Aptos, (Monschke Hal). Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday

Why Go: It's always a pleasure to see the tale of Aladdin and even more so, when it is performed by a local children's theater group. Your children will enjoy it, and you will, too.

Pricing: $10 to $15

Where/When: , 239 High St., Santa Cruz. Friday, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Why Go: It's time for a family musical jam. The fourth Friday of the month is a regular musical fest here with singing, dancing, playing instruments, and more. You and your kids can bring your favorite CDs to share, an instrument to play or a song to sing. This is musical fun for everyone.

Pricing: Sliding scale of $10 to $25 per family.
