Mystery Writer to Speak at Library Saturday

Nancy Jarvis will discuss her mystery series at the Scotts Valley Library today.

Local mystery writer Nancy Lynn Jarvis will be holding a book discussion and signing at the Scotts Valley Library on April 28 at 2 p.m.

The public is invited to this free event for an opportunity to meet with Jarvis and hear about her books, which are set in Santa Cruz County, and the “strange coincidences between what she describes in her books and the real events that have followed their publication.”

Jarvis, who has also been a Realtor in Santa Cruz for 20 years, earned her BA in behavioral science from San Jose State University, then worked in the advertising department of the San Jose Mercury News, was a librarian and later worked as the business manager of Shakespeare/Santa Cruz.

Her work history reflects her philosophy: “People should try something radically different every few years,” and writing is her newest adventure.

Jarvis will speak about her series of Regan McHenry mysteries that take a peek into the local world of real estate.
