Scotts Valley 'Art in the Library' Showcases Local Photographers in New Exhibit

'My Favorite Photos' now up on library walls featuring the work of local artists.

The Scotts Valley Library “Art in the Library” program’s newest exhibit is now on display.

“My Favorite Photos” will feature photographs from local artists, including landscapes, cloudscapes, nature, big game fish, horse and abstracts. This will be the first exhibit from many of the artists. The artists include:

  • Michele Deblock
  • Linda Gault
  • George Hoyem
  • Mark Farrar
  • Terry Hollenbeck
  • Angela Lipanovich
  • Dane Lobb
  • Jana Mitchell
  • Stacy Mitchell
  • Monica Multer

The “Art in the Library” program was developed by the Friends of the Scotts Valley Library to give local artists a place to display their work and to bring the joy of art to area residents.

The Friends are hoping that their goal of showcasing different art in the library will help people in the community learn to appreciate art, and to get them inspired. 

More than 15,000 people visit the library each month and the Friends say the feedback has been positive for the art program.

“My Favorite Photos” is now on display on the library walls at 251 Kings Village Road. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.fsvpl.org.
