Local Start-Up Semi-Finalist in Business Competition

Scotts Valley's JOBESCROW INC, is one of 12 Venture businesses that will compete in the Monterey Bay Regional Business Plan Competition.

A Scotts Valley start-up is in the running to win the 2012 Monterey Bay Regional Business Plan Competition.

The local business, JOBESCROW INC., has made it into the semi-finals in the competition’s Venture Play Business category after moving past the “Fever Pitch” elimination round on March 2, in which four other Scotts Valley businesses competed along with many others from Monterey, Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties.

The final competition, which will be held on May 4, is “a chance for regional start-ups and emerging companies to showcase their ideas and business concepts to regional and local angels and venture capitalists. It is also a vehicle to connect regional entrepreneurs to serial entrepreneurs, funders, consultants and support programs in the region.”
