KP Arena, the new home of the Santa Cruz Warriors, is really starting to take shape this week.
Two weeks of grading and piling dirt and now trenches are dug for utilities and work has begun on 12 holes, each 60 feet deep, to anchor the walls.
Rebar has also been laid to support the walls. No, the whole thing won't be a tent, just the roof.
Cement is supposed to be laid Wednesday, a giant step, but if the weather forecast for rain is true, it may not go down.
