Armed Robber Strikes Scotts Valley Market

Police released a detailed description of the robber, including that he had a tattoo on his neck.

An armed robber disguised as a paying customer held up the Scotts Valley Market on Thursday night, Scotts Valley police reported.

The man first went through a checkout line and purchased two items around 9:20 p.m. When the transaction was done, he pulled a handgun and demanded the money from the register, according to police. The robber then ordered the clerk to lay on the floor and he fled. 

The market is at 14 Victor Square.

The robber was described as Latino, 30-36 years old and 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. He had a Band-Aid on his left cheek and a tattoo on his neck. He was wearing a gray or brown baseball cap, a black or dark blue hoodie with white letters reading "Cali", dark blue jeans and blue Vans-type shoes with white laces.
