Residents of Oak Tree Villa, a Scotts Valley assisted living facility, held a yard sale earlier this month to help the families of two Santa Cruz Police Department fallen officers and, on Wednesday, met with department brass to make this donation, according to this SCPD blog.
The group gave $1,500 to the families of Sgt. Loren "Butch" Baker and Officer Elizabeth Butler, who were killed in the line of duty on Feb. 26.

During the police department visit, the seniors got to chat with SCPD leaders and take a ride in the department's 1961 Chevy Biscayne classic police car.
