Community Food Drive Will Benefit Valley Churches United
Food donation will get you a raffle ticket for a 3G iPad.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Valley Churches United Mission needs the community’s help in feeding the hungry this holiday season.
On Nov. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m., a community food drive and fundraiser will be held at 235 Mt. Hermon Rd. to benefit the organization. The event is not only a time to help those in need, but also a time to socialize and get to know your fellow neighbors. There will be wine tasting and small bites of food available, as well as a raffle for a new 3G iPad and other prizes.
Tickets for the raffle are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20 and are currently on sale at Century 21 Showcase, 237 Mt. Hermon Rd., Scotts Valley; Century 21 Showcase, 13210 Central Ave., Boulder Creek; Valley Churches United Mission, 9400 Highway 9, Ben Lomond; and RPM Mortgage, 740 Front St., Santa Cruz. A bag of food or a cash donation will get you one free raffle ticket.
