Alleged Car Thieves Arrested Sunday Night

Three individuals from Solano County are found driving in Scotts Valley.

 

Police in Scotts Valley arrested three people who were riding in a stolen car with stolen clothing on Sunday night, police said.

Officers responded to a report around 9:20 p.m. of suspicious activity involving a silver Kia minivan at the Shell gas station at 1 Hacienda Drive, according to police.

The car was determined to have been stolen out of Solano County, police said.

Officers searched the car and found several items of clothing that had security tags on them. The suspects admitted to stealing the clothing from a JC Penney store earlier in the day, police said.

During the officers' investigation, two of the three suspects gave false names, according to police.

They were eventually identified as Javier Vasquez, 30, and Staci Belding, 47, both of Vacaville, and Jessica Delvin, 20, of Suisun City, police said.

All three were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, conspiracy, burglary and possession of stolen property.
