Allegedly Drunk Man Slashes Tires at Movies

Police were called to the Cinelux Cinemas at 226 Mt. Hermon Road around 10:12 p.m. Thursday after an intoxicated subject was reported slashing tires in the parking lot. Adrian Angel Sanchez was arrested.

A Scotts Valley man who allegedly slashed tires in a movie theater parking lot Thursday was arrested on charges that include possession of stolen property, police said.

Adrian Angel Sanchez, 28, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, possession of a dagger, possession of stolen property and public drunkenness, Scotts Valley police Sgt. David Bell said.

The alleged incident occured at Cinelux Cinemas, 226 Mt. Hermon Road,
about 10:15 p.m., according to Bell.

The suspect was gone when police arrived but officers were provided a description and license plate number for his vehicle, the sergeant said.

A deputy from San Lorenzo Valley recognized the vehicle as one seen in that area and contacted police with an address, Bell said.

A suspect matching the description provided from the movie theater incident was found in his driveway, attempting to dispose of a hubcap he was suspected of stealing from one of the victim vehicles.

He also had a knife allegedly used to slash the tires, the sergeant said.

We live off of Scotts Valley Drive. There is a person that drives up and down Scotts Valley DriveRead More quite often. He has a dog that rides in the back of his pickup truck. The dog barks as he is riding and sounds like he is just in heaven going for those rides. We want to tip our hat to this man for being such a good dog parent. We look forward to hearing those barks of excitement for many moons to come. Right on sir! And keep on being the good parent you are.
