Ben Lomond Man Arrested for Possessing Drugs and a Stolen Assault Rifle

Orescan had 30 grams of methamphetamine and 7 grams of heroin when arrested.

Santa Cruz County Sheriff’ deputies arrested a Ben Lomond man on Saturday night for possession of a stolen assault rifle, heroin and methamphetamine.

Mitra Orescan, 22, was arrested Oct. 13 at a home on Live Oak Avenue in Ben Lomond after deputies served a search warrant at the home as a result of an ongoing investigation related to the sale of drugs at the address.

While searching the home, deputies found a stolen Springfield SOCOM II M1A assault rifle and ammunition, 30 grams of methamphetamine, 7 grams of heroin, packaging materials, cash and other items related to the sale of narcotics.

Orescan was arrested for possession of heroin for sale, possession of methamphetamine for sale and possession of a stolen assault rifle. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
