On Wednesday night, Scotts Valley Police arrested a man for having sex with a minor under 14.
At 6:33 p.m., police arrested Corey Nevin Marshall, 48, and booked him in Santa Cruz County Jail under charges of aggregated sexual assault on a minor, sex with a minor, and child molestation, according to Scotts Valley Police Lt. John Hohmann
Scotts Valley Police became aware of the case when they received a report on Tuesday from the Child Protection Agency of a minor under 14 having sex.
An investigation into the allegations revealed that the minor had sex with Marshall, who is listed as a transient sex offender.
