Man Drags Woman Out of Fagiani's Bar, Napa Police Say

A 24-year-old man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly assaulting a woman at a popular downtown Napa cocktail bar and restaurant, according to police. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

A downtown Napa address that was made notorious by a rape-murder in the 1970s was reportedly the scene of another assault on a woman over the weekend:

Nickolas Robert Thurston, 24, was jailed Saturday after he allegedly assaulted a woman, pulling her off a barstool and onto the floor before dragging her out of Fagiani's on Main Street, according to an arrest summary from the City of Napa Police Department:

On 12-8-2012 at about 2120hrs officers observed a verbal fight in the 800 block of Main Street. Thurston was contacted. He was with the victim who he has been dating for several months. Thurston had walked up to the victim sitting on a bar stool at Fagiani's. He pulled her off of the stool, onto the ground and dragged her out of the restaurant. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Thurston was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections on suspicion of domestic battery and false imprisonment, police said.

The Thomas does have a bouncer at the door. Other local "night" establishments are starting to have private security as well. Now, Downtown Joe's needs a bouncer or security, with the amount of heavy fights that goes on there!

I would have intervened as well, Jennifer. There is absolutely no excuse for physical violence, period! Thanks for the comment! http://www.sillysignsomg.com
