Having lived with david I can honostly agree that he needs help however I can also say prison is not the place to put some one like him. He does not see prison as a problem but more or less an escape from his problems. They have had this kid on high amounts of anti psychotics and anti depresents for a large portion of his life. Im not saying he should be let go do to these facts but rather that a state penetentery would not help him rehabilitate. Rather a hospital for the criminaly insane would do more to prevent out breaks like this from happening in the future.

Poor, poor David..he sits in the jail blaming his lot on the damn 'fag' he beat up. meanwhile Amber dreams foundly of her hero. This is a 'Hate' crime, and the D.A. should prosecute it at that.

I agree. It seems as though the core of the crime was about hate. A loud and clear message about our intolerance of hate crimes needs to be put out there.
