Scotts Valley police officers were looking sharp during an annual inspection by the Capitola police chief.

Officers from the Scotts Valley Police Department were looking their best on Sept. 22 and 23 when the department had its annual Inspection Day. Guest inspector, Chief Mike Card of the Capitola Police Department, was in town to do the honors.

On the first day of the inspection, officers, dispatchers and supervisors were called to attention and each person’s  uniform, shoes, duty gear and firearm, were all carefully scrutinized for wear, cleanliness and standards.

The second day of the inspection was all about the department’s fleet of vehicles, including patrol cars, motorcycles, and specialty vehicles, which were all inspected for cleanliness, operational efficiency, and to make sure they were properly equipped.
