Photo Gallery: Firefighters Host Pancake Breakfast

The Scotts Valley Fire Department held its annual Pancake Breakfast for the community on Sunday morning.

The firefighters at the Scotts Valley Fire District are trained and skilled to handle the heat on the job, but on Sunday they also proved that they can also handle it in the kitchen as well.

The Fire District held its annual Pancake Breakfast for the community, a fundraiser where all proceeds benefit local charitable organizations throughout Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz County.

Plates were priced at $7 and $5 a piece and came with pancakes, eggs, sausage, hash browns, and fruit cups along with coffee donated by the Barrientos family at Cafe Amigo in Scotts Valley.

Also on the scene was a giant jump house for kids, or those who still act like one, along with face painting and a chance to shoot off a hose just like the firefighters do.
