Police Blotter: Arson, Disorderly Conduct, Theft

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 On Aug. 17 at 11:50 p.m. on Granite Creek Road—Officers stopped a vehicle for failure to move into the adjacent open lane when an emergency vehicle light bar was activated. The driver had a warrant and was booked into county jail.

On Aug. 18 between 3 and 7:38 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—A pile of newspapers was burned on the walkway in front of Mollie’s Country Café. The remnants of the fire were discovered by the Scott Valley fire chief while he was investigating another incident at Starbucks in the Graham Plaza shopping center.

On Aug. 18 at 3:05 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—A man too intoxicated to care for himself was arrested for public intoxication.

On Aug. 18 at 12:41 p.m. on Bean Creek Road—An unknown person entered another person’s vehicle and stole the detachable face plate to the stereo system while it was parked in the general parking area of a condo complex.

On Aug. 19 at 8:47 p.m. on Highway 17 at Mt. Hermon Road—The driver of a vehicle stopped for expired registration was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and a Vicodin pill. He was arrested.
