Police Blotter: Battery, DUI, Burglary

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On March 19 at 1:28 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A person backed a vehicle into another vehicle and fled the scene. The hit vehicle had red/maroon paint transfer on it consistent with the vehicle the driver of the hit vehicle saw parked next to him before entering the store. The driver of the hit vehicle observed a red Toyota Camry leaving the scene.

On March 19 at 11:07 a.m. on Bean Creek Road–Officers responded to a burglary in process and contacted a person who was on probation with search terms. Officers found a meth pipe in his vehicle and he tested positive for meth and other drugs. He was arrested and booked into County Jail.

On March 19 at 10:50 a.m. on Weible Drive–A woman was punched in the face by her husband, which caused bruising, after they engaged in a verbal argument. Each party claimed that the other one had spit in their face. The husband was arrested and booked into County Jail for felony battery.

On March 19 between 10 a.m. and 5:39 p.m. on Hacienda Drive–An unknown person stole mail from several residences. The mail was later located in a recycling bin on Bethany Drive.

On March 19 at 4:47 p.m. on Disc Drive–Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. A woman stated that she was battered by her mother as she tried to get her belongings together. The mother said she never hit her daughter and provided information of drug sales by her daughter.

On March 21 at 9:33 p.m. on Scotts Valley Drive–Two roommates got into a verbal altercation, during which one of the women pushed the other with her right hand to the side of her neck. The woman who did the pushing was arrested and booked into County Jail.

On March 23 at 12:30 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–An unknown man who appeared to be under 21 attempted to walk out of a store with a shopping cart full of alcohol. The cart locked as it got to the exit door and the man fled on foot. Nothing was taken.

On March 23 at 8:21 p.m. on Scotts Valley Drive–A driver was stopped for several moving violations and, upon contact, exhibited signs of intoxication. The driver admitted to consuming alcohol and failed a field sobriety test. The driver was arrested for DUI and his vehicle was towed.

On March 24 at 3:20 a.m. on Highway 17 and Granite Creek Road–A vehicle was stopped for failure to maintain a single lane. The driver exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test. The driver was arrested for DUI and his vehicle was towed.
