Police Blotter: Domestic Battery, Burglary, Petty Theft

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Nov. 7 at 4:18 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–While shopping with her parents, a juvenile concealed store merchandise in her clothing and failed to pay. She was apprehended and arrested for shoplifting. She was turned over to her parents’ custody.

On Nov. 7 at 5:22 p.m. on Lockewood Lane–An unknown person forced entry into someone else’s residence by breaking a rear sliding door. The person ransacked the residence and stole numerous items.

On Nov. 7 at 5:18 p.m. on Bean Creek Road–An unknown person broke numerous windows on a vehicle and then rummaged through the interior belongings. The owner of the vehicle estimated the loss at approximately $650.

On Nov. 7 at 5:19 p.m. on Bean Creek Road–An unknown person smashed the right front window of a vehicle and stole several items from inside.

On Nov. 8 at 11:56 a.m. on Butler Lane and Victor Square–A person was found to be too intoxicated to care for his own safety. He was taken into custody and booked at Santa Cruz County Jail for public intoxication.

On Nov. 9 at 7:19 p.m. on Disc Drive–Officers contacted a woman in regards to a physical domestic dispute. She claimed she was in an argument with her ex-boyfriend, which got physical when he hit her in the face and physically removed her from his car. The boyfriend fled the scene.

On Nov. 10 at 10:46 a.m. on Civic Center Drive–A woman entered the police department and self-surrendered on an outstanding warrant. She was arrested and released with a court date to appear.

On Nov. 10 at 10:14 p.m. on La Madrona Drive–Officers stopped a vehicle for expired registration. The driver displayed signs of narcotics use. The vehicle was searched and drug paraphernalia and a wooden club were found. The driver was arrested and booked into county jail.

On Nov. 11 at 11:18 p.m. on Bean Creek Road–An unknown person burglarized a vehicle and stole a backpack containing swimming gear valued at $300.
