Police Blotter: Domestic Battery, Vandalism, Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On May 21 at 12:31 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A vehicle reported stolen by the Los Gatos Police Department was recovered after it was abandoned by an unknown person.

On May 21 at 1:44 a.m. on Arabian Way–An unknown person stole an Apple iPhone and a Garmin GPS console from a vehicle.

On May 21 at 3:34 a.m. on Arabian Way–A person was contacted while sitting in his vehicle. He showed objective signs of intoxication and admitted to driving to the location. He failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for DUI.

On May 21 at 8:40 a.m. on Glenwood Drive–School officials located a small amount of marijuana on a student during a search. The student was booked at Juvenile Hall.

On May 21 at 12:46 p.m. on Santa’s Village Road and Highway 17–Officers conducted a vehicle stop for a cell phone violation. The driver had a warrant for his arrest.

On May 21 at 3:22 p.m. on Glen Canyon Road–A man had heroin shipped to The Camp Recovery Center by his ex-girlfriend. He was arrested.

On May 21 at 7:15 p.m. on Highway 17 and Granite Creek Road–During a car stop, a passenger presented a mocked California ID card displaying his name, address and descriptors. The ID also displayed a CA ID number that had been issued to another person. He was arrested.

Between May 21 at 6:30 p.m. and May 22 at 5:07 a.m. on Kings Village Drive–An unknown person stole a Gallo Sales Company box truck from the Scotts Valley Metro Center. Santa Cruz PD later located the vehicle undamaged, and a Gallo representative responded and took possession of it.

On May 21 at 9:53 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A white female was observed via video surveillance taking multiple packages of razors from a store shelf. The theft was discovered after the woman had left the store.

On May 22 at 11:37 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A man was arrested and released with a notice to appear for driving while his license was suspended for DUI.

On May 22 at 11:59 p.m. on Baja Sol Court–An intoxicated man was in a verbal argument with his mother. The man became violent by punching holes in the wall and throwing furniture. The man was arrested for vandalizing his mother’s home.

On May 23 at 7:16 p.m. on Civic Center Drive–A boyfriend grabbed his girlfriend by her shoulders and threw her on the bed. He then straddled his body on top of hers and held her arms down and yelled at her. The boyfriend repeated this process one more time. A warrant will be requested for his arrest.
