Police Blotter: DUI, Burglary, Disorderly Conduct

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Aug. 29 at 4 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A driver was contacted by police at a Shell gas station for suspicion of shoplifting. The driver displayed signs of intoxication and was given a field sobriety test. He failed and was arrested for DUI and public intoxication.

On Aug. 29 at 8:01 p.m. on Granite Creek Road–A driver was stopped for impeding traffic and for having a suspended registration. He was found to have a suspended driver’s license for a DUI. He was arrested and released at the scene with a citation.

On Aug. 30 at 9:35 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Two juveniles were contacted by officers for loitering near a business. One of the juveniles was in violation of the terms of his probation. He was arrested and released to his parents.

On Aug. 30 at 11:55 p.m. on Highway 17 at Vine Hill Road–A driver was arrested for DUI. His vehicle was towed and stored.

On Aug. 31 at 12:21 a.m. on Scotts Valley Drive–A woman was contacted by officers and found to be too intoxicated to care for her own safety.

On Aug. 31 at 7:56 p.m. on Navigator Drive–A person took another person’s camera by force because the camera owner took a picture of him. Officers contacted the person who took the camera at his residence and he refused to be taken into custody. Officers forced entry into the residence and took the man into custody.

On Sept. 1 at 9:30 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Officers contacted an intoxicated male riding a bicycle in the Graham Plaza Shopping Center. He was unable to care for his safety and was taken into custody. He was taken to county jail were he was booked for public intoxication.

On Sept. 2 at 1:49 a.m. on Highway 17 at El Rancho Drive–The driver of a vehicle was stopped for weaving in traffic. He was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He provided a .14 percent BAC and was arrested for DUI.

On Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. on Scotts Valley Drive–The driver of a vehicle was stopped for having an inoperable headlight and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and booked for DUI.

On Sept. 4 at 2:30 a.m. on Highway 17 at Sims Road–A man was arrested for DUI after making an unsafe lane change. His 19-year-old passenger was arrested and cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

On Sept. 4 at 2:22 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A person received threats by telephone from the husband of a female he was previously dating.
