Police Blotter: DUI, Drug Possession, Theft
The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
On July 11 at 3:21 p.m. on Highway 17—A vehicle was stopped for following another driver too closely. The driver exhibited objective symptoms of intoxication. The driver failed a field sobriety test and provided a breath sample of .12 percent blood-alcohol content. He was arrested and booked into county jail.
On July 13 at 1:12 a.m. on Scotts Valley Drive—A person was contacted in his vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business and was found to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia. He was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was arrested and booked into county jail.
On July 11 between 8 and 9:44 a.m. on El Pueblo Road—An unknown person stole the rear license plate from a company vehicle.

On July 14 at 6:30 a.m. on Scotts Valley Drive—An unknown person attempted to gain entry into a residence through a bathroom window.
On July 14 at 8:42 p.m. on Sunset Terrace—A couple got into a verbal/physical fight. The male disabled the phone lines and attempted to prevent the female from calling the police. The male pushed the female into a wall, which caused injury to her arm. The male was arrested.

On July 14 at 8:11 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—An unknown person entered a store and left with alcohol without paying.
On July 14 between noon and 5:52 p.m. on Carriage Lane—A female had two fraudulent charges on her credit card, which was linked to her Paypal account.
On July 14 between 9 p.m. and 7:35 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—An unknown person poured glue into the hole on the #2 green of a golf course and then poured glue across the golf course parking lot.
On July 15 at 9:38 p.m. on Whispering Pines Drive—Officers responded to an underage drinking party. After the party was disbanded, an unknown person kicked a patrol vehicle, causing a dent. During a subsequent area check, officers found an uprooted city street sign.
