Police Blotter: DUI, Graffiti, Shoplifting

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Aug. 1 at 2:41 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A driver was stopped for expired registration and was found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol. The driver had a suspended license and warrant for DUI. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was towed.

On Aug. 2 at 8:11 a.m. on Cadillac Drive–A person passing by a “Share the Road” sign reported seeing graffiti in white on the sign. Officers photographed the graffiti and removed it.

On Aug. 2 at 9:59 a.m. on Highway 9–A woman was arrested after a traffic stop for having a warrant. She was booked into county jail.

On Aug. 1 at 6 a.m. on Pinecone Drive–A person lost her wallet at an unknown location and someone made fraudulent charges on it.

On Aug. 2 at 4:26 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A man entered Nob Hill, stole a bottle of alcohol and fled the store on foot. He was apprehended and determined to be in possession of syringes and under the influence of opiates. A bottle of alcohol and some ice cream was recovered upon his arrest.

On Aug. 2 at 8:39 p.m. on Santa’s Village Road–A driver was stopped after proceeding straight from a turn only lane and was found to have a suspended license for DUI. The driver was arrested and released at the scene with a citation.

On Aug. 6 at 12:13 a.m. on Highway 17–Officers stopped a vehicle for weaving in and out of traffic. The driver was arrested for a warrant and the passenger was arrested for public intoxication.
