Police Blotter: DUI, Vandalism, Disorderly Conduct
The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
On Aug. 9 at 9:29 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—A driver stopped for a defective brake light was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).
On Aug.9 at 11:36 a.m. on Highway 17 at El Rancho Drive—A driver stopped for expired registration was arrested for DUI.
On Aug. 9 between 9 p.m. and 9:52 a.m. on Silverwood Drive—An unknown person spray-painted the front of a vehicle.

On Aug. 9 at 9 p.m. on Silverwood Drive—An unknown person used red spray paint to vandalize the sidewalk, street and several signs. Some of the vandalism was classified as a hate crime, as it was directed at a specific resident and that resident's ethnicity.
On Aug. 12 at 9:44 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—A couple engaged in a verbal and physical fight at a gas station. The male pushed the female, who was his girlfriend, into a parked vehicle. Both parties were intoxicated and were arrested.

On Aug. 12 at 11:22 p.m. on Scotts Valley Drive—Officers conducted a pedestrian stop and found the person had a warrant. He was arrested.
On Aug. 13 at 2:06 a.m. on Carriage Lane—Officers responding to a fight at a residence found an intoxicated male on the porch. Because of the level of intoxication, he was taken into protective custody.
On Aug. 14 at 12:30 a.m. on Silverwood Drive—An unknown person threw an object at a home's window, causing it to crack.
