Police Blotter: Petty Theft, Possession, Domestic Violence

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Jan. 9 at 9:09 p.m. on Flora Lane–A woman known to have a suspended license was observed driving by officers who contacted her as she parked. She informed the officers that she was en route to the police department to report an incident of domestic violence she was a victim of.

On Jan. 10 at 8:45 p.m. on Carbonero Way and Scotts Valley Drive–A man stole a carton of cigarettes, violating the terms of his probation. He was also in possession of stolen property, drug paraphernalia and syringes. He was booked into county jail.

On Jan. 10 at 12:45 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A man admittedly entered CVS Pharmacy in possession of stolen property with the intention to return the item for cash using a discarded receipt. He successfully obtained $9.71 in cash.

On Jan. 11 at 12:56 p.m. on Glenwood Drive–A juvenile on active probation was found to be in possession of marijuana while at school. He was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall.

Between Dec. 29 and Jan. 12 on Civic Center Drive–A man sent numerous harassing text messages with obscene language to another person. After officers advised the man to stop, he sent another harassing text. He was cited and released with a court date.

On Jan. 12 at 4:46 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Officers responded to Kmart on a report of a possible shoplifter. Officers contacted the person outside of the store. He had a misdemeanor warrant and was cited and released with a court date.

On Jan. 13 at 3:46 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding and a rear broken tail lamp. The driver was found to be in possession of marijuana. One of the passengers had a no bail warrant. The driver was cited and the passenger was booked on the warrant.

On Jan. 13 at 8:14 p.m. on Scotts Valley Drive–A parolee who was contacted as a pedestrian was found to be in violation of his parole terms. A parole hold was placed on him and he was booked at county jail.
