Police Blotter: Petty Theft, Vehicle Theft, Domestic Violence

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Sept. 5 at 4:43 p.m. on Scotts Valley Drive–A driver who was stopped for a mechanical violation had a suspended license. She was arrested and released with a citation.

On Sept. 5 at 10:06 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A woman took cosmetics from the shelf at Kmart and walked out of the store. She was detained by the store’s loss prevention people who reported the incident to the SVPD. She was issued a criminal cite at the scene and released.

On Sept. 7 at 10:41 p.m. on Bean Creek Road–A female juvenile was arrested for violating probation. She was released to her parents.

On Sept. 7 at 8:45 p.m. on Navigator Drive–An unknown person entered a locked vehicle and took a GPS unit, sunglasses and a cellular phone charger. The total loss was $400.

On Sept. 9 at 4:15 a.m. on Whispering Pines Drive–Officers got into a foot race with a person who was in possession of a stolen car after he failed to stop on police orders. He was eventually tazed and taken into custody.

On Sept. 10 at 7:20 p.m. on Sunset Terrace–During a scheduled child custody exchange, a physical altercation occurred between the two parties resulting in injury. A female was taken into custody for felony domestic violence.
