Police Blotter: Porsche Wrecked, Abandoned

Also, a stolen gun was recovered by Oakland police and a family reported a burglar in the house.

Monday, Oct. 29

Non-Injury Accident—Happened at Skypark and Piper Club Court around 9:33 a.m.

Theft—Ivy plants were stolen from the Scotts Valley Banner/Valley Press office on Scotts Valley Drive in the past two weeks.

Disturbance—Loud music was reported on Trammel Way at 2:52 p.m.

Battery—A father of a 19-year-old woman said his daughter was shoved and pepper sprayed in the Bethany area earlier in the day and they know the assailant. The daughter was treated at Urgent Care. The assault was reported at 4:40 p.m.

Burglary—A gun stolen from a Scotts Valley storage locker was recovered by Oakland Police. The gun's owner discovered the gun had likely been taken from the storage locker, on Lockhart Gulch Road, after being contacted by Oakland police. Scotts Valley police took a burglary report around 5:30 p.m.

Public Intoxication—A man was yelling at others on Scotts Valley and Civic Center drives around 5:55 p.m. He was arrested.

Theft—A Hilton resident reported his iPad was stolen when he left it unattended at the hotel.

Tuesday, Oct. 30

Traffic Stop—A motorist got a verbal warning on Tabor Way around 8:13 a.m.

Reckless Driving—Happened at Mount Hermon and Lockhart Gulch roads at 12:17 p.m. The driver was swerving through traffic. Officers couldn't find the driver.

Trafic Stop—A motorist got a warning on Mount Hermon Road around 3:15 p.m.

Home Burglary–A laptop, house keys and car keys were stolen from a house on Willis Road. It was reported at 4:42 p.m.

Car burglary—Happened on Tabor Road; reported at 5:29 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 31

Abandoned Car—A blue Porsche was discovered 40 feet over an embankment on Glenwood Drive and Canham Road, just outside of city limits, around 1 p.m. It wasn't clear if the car had been in an unreported traffic collision or had been stolen.

Domestic Disturbance—A woman in a black Mercedes Benz was arguing with a man outside her car while there was young child in the backseat. It happened at the Shell gas station on Mount Hermon Road around 4:20 p.m.

Home Burglary—An XBox and other items were stolen from a house on Lucia Lane when the front door was unlocked that day. Reported at 6:55 p.m.

DUI—A 40-year-old woman was arrested at La Cuesta Drive and Altenitas Road at 11:54 p.m. for DUI.

Thursday, Nov. 1

Trespassing—A man was warned for sleeping on the Wescosa property on Mount Hermon Road around midnight.

Theft—Three decoration lanterns and a pumpkin were stolen overnight on Skypark Drive. A hay bale was stolen the night before and a scarecrow that didn't belong to her was left in her yard.

Theft—A sister reported that her suicidal brother stole a gun from the house while their parents were away. It happened on Bean Creek Road and was reported around 12:11 p.m. The mother also called police later in the day to report the theft.

Stolen Vehicle—A 2005 Ford Escort station wagon was stolen from the Metro parking lot sometime in the past month.

Non-Injury Collision—A sliver Honda Pilot and light green Toyota Prius collided on Glenwood Drive and Vine Hill School Road around 2:39 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 2

Traffic Stop—A motorist was ticketed at Victor Square around 1:39 a.m.

Disturbance—An elderly neighbor with dementia was screaming on Flora Lane around 4:20 a.m.

Disturbance—A tenant and property manager at Emerald Hill Apartments on Civic Center Drive got into a fight around 8:20 a.m.

Domestic Disturbance—A man's ex-girlfriend keeps calling him and threatening to report false crimes to police.

Car accident—A driver hit a cement barrier at Scotts Valley Car Wash around 6:53 p.m.

Disturbance—A pool party bothered neighbors on Bean Creek Road. It was reported around 10:23 p.m.

Home Burglary—A burglary broke into a Silver Birch Lane Road while a woman, her husband and baby were in the house. It was reported around 11:15 p.m. No arrests were made. The house backs up to Hocus Pocus Park.

Saturday, Nov. 3

Theft—An unlocked car was broken into on Whispering Pines Drive between 9 and 10 p.m. Friday; the crime was reported around 12:45 a.m.

Trespassing—A man yelled at tellers at Wells Fargo around 10:15 a.m.

Theft—A woman lost her cell phone at Scotts Valley Market around 2:27 p.m.

Traffic Stop—A motorist was warned on Glen Canyon Road.

Public Intoxication—A drunk man at the Hilton was escorted back to his room around 10:30 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 4

Traffic Stop—A motorist was ticketed on Mount Hermon Road around 12:22 a.m.

Disturbance—A Hilton guest was knocking on a neighbor's door around 12:40 a.m. and wouldn't stop.

Disturbance—Two motorists had a road rage incident in the Safeway parking lot around 5:35 p.m.

Domestic Disturbance—A landlord and tenant had an argument on Whispering Pines Drive around 9 p.m.
