Police Blotter: Possession, Theft, Disorderly Conduct

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Oct. 11 at 2:15 p.m. on Glenwood Drive–A student stole an iPhone from another student at Scotts Valley High School. The phone was recovered and returned to its owner.

On Oct. 11 at 5:15 p.m. on Bean Creek Road–Officers observed two people entering school grounds after hours and walk behind a maintenance building not accessible to the public. Officers contacted them and determined they were in possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Both were arrested.

On Oct. 12 at 10:04 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Officers contacted an intoxicated man. He was unable to care for himself and was taken into custody.

On Oct. 11 at 6:30 p.m. on Piper Cub Court–An unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle, which was parked on a residential street, and stole a laptop and laptop bag valued at $1,025.

On Oct. 12 at 3:35 p.m. on Disc Drive–A man was reviewing his Wells Fargo online account statement and noticed two checks that had been signed by another person in the amount of $64.89 and $400. The man did not authorize anyone to use his checks.

On Oct. 12 at 6:05 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Officers contacted a man standing outside Village Bottle Shop panhandling. A records check indicated the man had a warrant. He was arrested and booked into county jail.

On Oct. 13 at 12:43 p.m. on Scotts Valley Drive–Officers contacted a woman outside of a business that they recognized from a previous arrest. The officers were given permission to search her vehicle and located a syringe in her make-up bag. She was arrested and released with a court date.

On Oct. 13 at 10:15 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Officers conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver had a warrant for his arrest. He was also in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and booked into county jail.

On Oct. 13 at 11:40 p.m. on Oak Creek and Scotts Valley Drive–A man was found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle, heroin and hypodermic needles. He was also under the influence of narcotics. He was arrested and booked into county jail.

On Oct. 16 at 2:41 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road and Lockhart Gulch Road–A man was discovered camping in a no trespassing area. He was on probation and had search and seizure terms. He was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and tested positive for controlled substances.
