Police Blotter: Vandalism, Burglary, Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Jan. 2 at 8:20 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road at Kings Village Drive–An unknown person graffiti vandalized a bench at a Santa Cruz Metro bus stop. The graffiti was documented and abated.

On Jan. 2 at 10:20 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road– An unknown person graffiti vandalized Green Waste trash bins in the Scotts Valley Square Shopping Center. The graffiti was documented and abated.

On Jan. 2 at 3:53 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Two women were seen in Kmart tampering with razor refill pack security devices, attempting to steal them. Officers located the women leaving the area and they were in possession of 38 packs of razor refills believed to be stolen. They were arrested.

On Jan. 2 at 11:44 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A man stopped for bicycle lighting violations was searched with his consent and per the terms of his probation. He was arrested and booked for possession of oxycodone without a prescription and in violation of his probation.

On Jan. 3 at 1:30 a.m. on Sherman Drive–Items were discovered to be stolen from a vehicle after two males were chased away from the vehicle. A witness obtained the license plate of the vehicle the males left in.

On Jan. 3 between 1 and 2:39 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–An unknown person attempted to ship a large amount of marijuana to a Kentucky address. The package was intercepted and taken as evidence.

On Jan. 3 at 4 p.m. on Enterprise Way–An unknown person used white spray paint to inscribe “RBS FUN1.” to the face of an Enterprise Technology sign.

On Jan. 7 at 8:26 p.m. on Hacienda Drive–Officers stopped a woman and she provided a false name and date of birth. A records check of the woman revealed that she had outstanding warrants for her arrest. She was arrested and booked at county jail.

On Jan. 8 between midnight and 7:43 a.m. on Baja Sol Drive–During the evening hours, an unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence. The person then used the garage door opener to access the residence. Once inside, the person stole numerous computers and documents.
