Police Blotter: Petty Theft, DUI, Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Feb. 7 at 1:13 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Officers responded to the report of a person concealing merchandise on his person. The loss prevention officer of the store told police that he observed the person take multiple items and leave the store without paying for them. He was cited and released.

On Feb. 7 at 2:09 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Officers were dispatched to a call of panhandlers. One of the panhandlers had an out-of-county warrant and was unable to provide a valid address. She was arrested and booked into county jail.

On Feb. 8 at 1:22 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–Officers stopped a vehicle for expired registration. A records check of the driver showed that the she had a felony warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and the vehicle was released to the passenger.

On Feb. 9 at 12:59 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A woman was contacted by police after being seen with a parolee at large who fled the area. She had two warrants and was arrested and booked into county jail.

On Feb. 9 between 8 a.m. and 4:52 p.m. on Whispering Pines Drive–A person discovered that a wall mirror was missing after a tenant moved out of his residence.

On Feb. 9 at 5:42 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A driver was stopped for having a headlight out. She was identified to be driving on a suspended license and had a warrant for a DUI. She was arrested and booked into county jail.

On Feb. 10 at 9:07 a.m. on La Cuesta Drive–A person was contacted by officers while sitting in his vehicle. The vehicle was searched based on probable cause of possession of marijuana. A glass methamphetamine pipe was found. The person was arrested and booked into county jail.

On Feb. 10 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Scotts Valley Drive–An unknown person stole a business sign from in front of the business. The sign was valued at $150.

On Feb. 11 at 1:40 p.m. on Whispering Pines Drive–An unknown person stole a longboard style skateboard while it was left unattended near the owner’s residence.

On Feb. 11 at 11:16 p.m. on Highway 17–A vehicle was stopped for travelling approximately 100 mph. The driver exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test. The driver was arrested and booked into county jail.

On Feb. 12 at 1:13 a.m. on Highway 17–A vehicle was stopped for weaving. The driver exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test. The driver was arrested and booked into county jail.
