Police Blotter: Vandalism, Theft, Battery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On July 13 at 8:44 a.m. on Scotts Valley Drive–An unknown person used a black marker to graffiti vandalize a bus stop bench. The graffiti was abated by officers without any lasting damage.

Between July 12 at 9 p.m. and July 13 at 9:35 a.m. on San Augustine Way–A vehicle was stolen and later recovered by San Jose Police.

On July 13 at 11:15 a.m. on Scotts Valley Drive–A bicycle was stolen while the owner was inside a store.

On July 13 at 3:52 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A man and woman entered a store and concealed two bottles of wine then left without paying.

On July 13 at 8:16 p.m. on Orchard Run–A driver was contacted leaving Polo Ranch. He had a no bail warrant out of Santa Clara County. He was arrested and booked into County Jail. The vehicle was towed.

On July 14 at 8:25 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A man became argumentative with employees of Nob Hill Foods after being asked to leave his backpack at the checkout stand. The argument escalated and became physical. He was arrested for battery and booked into County Jail.

On July 15 at 3:06 a.m. on Highway 17 and Granite Creek Road–Officers conducted a high-risk car stop on a stolen vehicle. The driver was arrested for being in possession of the vehicle, burglary tools and heroin. He was arrested and booked into County Jail
