Police: Rape Claim Was Unfounded

Monday's rape claim had no validity to it, according to Lt. John Hohmann.

A rape claim made on the 500 block of Glenwood Drive Monday afternoon was found to be invalid, Scotts Valley Police Lt. John Hohmann said.

The rape report came in around 12:20 Monday afternoon and a sergeant stationed at Scotts Valley High School investigated the claim, Hohmann told Patch on Monday.

While the high school is the mammoth campus on the block, Hohmann said that the rape claim did not originate there.

The incident originally popped up on the Scotts Valley Police Department's CrimeGraphics website. It has since been deleted.

We live off of Scotts Valley Drive. There is a person that drives up and down Scotts Valley DriveRead More quite often. He has a dog that rides in the back of his pickup truck. The dog barks as he is riding and sounds like he is just in heaven going for those rides. We want to tip our hat to this man for being such a good dog parent. We look forward to hearing those barks of excitement for many moons to come. Right on sir! And keep on being the good parent you are.
