Police Seek Help in Finding Man Who Asked Girl to Get in His Car

Man may be the same one who exposed himself to another girl last week.

Scotts Valley Police are searching for a man who drove up to a young girl as she was walking and asked if she wanted to get into the car with him.

The incident occurred on Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Pinecone Drive and Baja Sol Drive. The man is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, heavy set, tall with short buzz cut brown hair and sideburns. The car is described as a small, black newer car.

Police believe the driver may be associated with an incident that occurred on Sept. 14 when a man in a car exposed himself to a 15-year-old girl who was walking in the Whispering Pines neighborhood. In that incident, a small black car, described as being dirty and in poor condition, was parked near the intersection of Estrella Drive and Caliente Drive. As the girl walked past the driver’s side of the car, a man opened the door. The girl looked toward the man and saw that he was masturbating. The girl then ran away and the car sped away.
