Scotts Valley Business Charged with Defrauding Investors

Men who were partners in the investment company Geringer, Luck and Rode LLC face charges that include money laundering and securities fraud.

Two Scotts Valley men and a Wisconson man face charges of defrauding investors in a company where they were partners, reported the Santa Cruz Sentinel Friday.

A federal jury in San Jose said that the three received more than $60 million from investors, funneling half to themselves and private companies that they held an interest in.

They will appear in court Jan. 17 in San Jose.
