Vandalism Closes Skatepark for 72 Hours
Trash, file cabinets and shopping carts have been thrown into the park over the last few weeks.
In the aftermath of several incidents of vandalism recently, the Scotts Valley Skatepark will be closed through 7 a.m. Friday.
According to the Scotts Valley Police Department, over the past few weeks, the park has been littered with trash from nearby trash receptacles. The park has also been littered with large items such as file cabinets and shopping carts, leaving the city’s public works department to clean up the mess.
The park’s closure went into effect at 7 a.m. Tuesday and will last for 72 hours.
