Teenager Arrested After Police Find Concealed Weapons in Car

SVPD searched car at Camp Evers Fish Pond and found two concealed weapons.

A teenager was arrested Thursday in Scotts Valley after a search of his vehicle discovered two loaded firearms, Scotts Valley police said.

Police received a call at 10:45 p.m. of a suspicious vehicle whose occupants were throwing bottles into bushes. A description of the vehicle provided by the call led police to locate it parked at the Camp Evers Fish Pond on Glen Canyon Road, police said.

Two adult males and two juvenile females were in the vehicle. The two men were on probation for narcotic violations and police conducted a search of the vehicle.

While searching the vehicle, police found a loaded .22 caliber firearm under the driver's seat and a second firearm, a .25 caliber.

Alexander Skinner, 19, of Boulder Creek was booked into Santa Cruz County
Jail for possession of a loaded, concealed firearm in a vehicle.

The firearms were legally registered to the arrestee's father.
