The suspect left behind a cargo bag filled with burglary tools.

A manager at Tony and Alba's pizza restaurant in Scotts Valley surprised a burglary in process when he came to work Saturday morning, according to Scotts Valley police.

The manager arrived around 6:40 a.m. when he opened the front door and discovered a man inside. The suspect then ran through the restaurant and climbed through a window to get away, police said. At this point the manager called 9-1-1.

The suspect had gotten inside the restaurant by removing a large glass windowpane at the rear.

Nothing was taken during the burglary and nobody was injured.

Although the burglar escaped through a window, he left behind a cargo bag filled with burglary tools, including power grinders and a power saw, according to police.

Police are still investigating the attempted burglary. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Scotts

Valley police at (831) 440-5670.
