City Council Meeting

The City of Scotts Valley City Council meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6pm in the City Hall City Council Chambers. The City Council is composed of four Council Members and the Mayor, all of whom are directly elected by the people. The Mayor and Vice-Mayor are appointed annually by the Council, and the Council Members serve four-year staggered terms. The purpose of the City Council is to establish local laws, to set policy, to reject or to approve programs, to allocate funds and provide direction, through the City Manager, to City staff to implement its policy. The Council can also appoint members to various local and regional committees, commissions, and other boards. The Council is currently led by Mayor Dene Bustichi.
