POLL: Do You Agree With the RTC's Decision on the Vehicle Registration Fee Measure?

The commission decided against putting a measure on the November ballot that would have brought in money for local road repairs and pedestrian projects.

On Thursday morning, the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission asking voters to pay a $10 Vehicle Registration Fee annually. If passed, the measure would have brought in approximately $2.2 million annually for road repairs and pedestrian projects throughout the county.
