  • In Scotts Valley, three of the current council members' terms will be expiring. There is no term limit in the city and all are eligible to run for reelection. On Monday, the three, Mayor Donna Lind, Vice-Mayor Randy Johnson and Dene Bustichi all pulled papers and declared their intent to run.
  • Lind, a former Scotts Valley police officer, will be seeking reelection to her second term on the council.

  • Bustichi, a Scotts Valley native and owner of a local construction company, will be seeking his third term on the council.
  • Though all three have declared their intent to run, each will still need to get 20 valid signatures from Scotts Valley registered voters before they can officially file their paperwork.
