With Election Day less than two months away—and sooner for you early voters—it's becoming increasingly important to know more about the candidates and their plans.
Although the races for Scotts Valley City Council and Scotts Valley Unified School District Board were uncontested, there are choices to be made for Fifth District Santa Cruz County Supervisor, a position that covers Scotts Valley, the San Lorenzo Valley and parts of Santa Cruz, and the Scotts Valley Fire District Board.
In the Fifth District County Supervisor race, former Secretary of State Bruce McPherson is up against Boulder Creek Recreation and Park District Board member Eric Hammer.
The Fire District race has three incumbents, Jane Armstrong, Arthur Smith and Alan Smith, and newcomer Lisa Ann Bustichi, vying for three open seats.
In order to make your decision at the polls just a little easier, we'll be reaching out to all candidates to have them answer your questions. So ask away!
Post questions in the comments and tell us what race (county supervisor or fire board) it's directed to. Make sure all candidates in a race can answer the questions. After we've racked up enough questions, we will relay them to the candidates in an interview
