St. Andrew's Pre-School Turns 30

Celebrate St. Andrew's Pre-School's 30th Anniversary.

In October of 1982, St. Andrew's Church in Ben Lomond opened its parochial school doors welcoming pre-school age children from our community.

In the same year, an inspired grassroot group from St. Andrew's formed Valley Churches United Missions. Member Annette Marcum’s organization provides aide in the form of food and emergency rent and utilities money.

Rector Blaine Hammond is thrilled that St. Andrews also celebrates its 112th year this year. The school's academic goal is to offer an educational program which allows each child to develop his/her full potential in an unique way and at their own developmental pace.

“We hope that every child's first learning experience is a successful one, and work to assure our classroom is loving, safe and secure. Our desire is to develop our students’ positive self-images, and build strong social/intellectual skills and Christian values,” Fishel said.

“I’ve loved working with the children in our community. I’m proud of who they’ve become and honored to have been a part of their lives,” she added.

The public is invited to a 30th anniversary celebration on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m. at Ben Lomond Hall.
