Last Chance: Deadlines You Don't Want to Miss in Scotts Valley
Deadlines for an SAT review course at SVHS, scholarship and summer recreation classes are coming up.
We all do it. Forget to mark our calendars for upcoming soccer league sign-ups, prom tickets or local business expos. There are so many events and opportunities in Scotts Valley that is can be hard to keep tabs on them all.
Fortunately, Patch is here to help track some of those important deadlines. The following is a list of deadlines coming up. Take a look before it's your last chance!
SCHOOLS
High school student-athletes have until April 30 to apply for the Wayne Richards Memorial Scholarship. Eligibility: graduating senior varsity athlete, GPA 3.0 or above, evidence of involvement in school or community affairs, intend to enroll full-time, starting in the fall, at a university, college or trade school. The Scotts Valley High School counseling office has all the necessary information.

Do you have a student about to take the SAT? On April 28 and 29 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Scotts Valley High School will host Catalyst's SAT BOOTCAMP, the perfect opportunity for students to learn strategies for all the types of problems guaranteed to be on the SAT. The cost is $165 for both days. Deadline for enrollment is this Thursday, April 26th. For more info, call 800.235.0056 or visit www.CatalystPrep.com. This event is a fundraiser for the SVHS Parent Club.
Registration for Cabrillo College’s summer session began on April 24. While there is not currently an enrollment deadline, many courses fill up fast, so enroll now!

SPORTS
Registration for the Mt. Charlie Challenge bike ride benefiting Scotts Valley schools is now underway. This year's event will include a 100-mile, 62-mile, and 32-mile ride to choose from. The ride is on May 5 and registration is currently underway. Registration is $100. RECREATION
