New State Report on Physical Fitness: Scotts Valley Students Above State Averages

California Department of Education releases annual physical fitness report.

Students in the Scotts Valley Unified School District are in good physical shape compared with students across California.

State Superintendent Tom Torlakson last week released the 2009-10 California Physical Fitness Report for grades five, seven and nine.

Each grade has six activity categories—aerobic capacity, body composition, abdominal strength, trunk extensor strength, upper body strength and flexibility. Scotts Valley students ranked well overall compared with students from throughout the state.
