SVHS JV Baseball Team Now 5-0

The team won at St. Francis on Tuesday.

The Scotts Valley High School JV baseball team is now 5-0-1 in league play after winning 4-3 against St. Francis High School on Tuesday.

Scotts Valley scored its first run in the first inning on an RBI double by Ben Christenson. St. Francis then came back with two runs in the bottom of the first.

The score stayed 2-1 St. Francis until the top of the fifth, when Ryan Traulsen had an RBI double, and Ben Christensen added an RBI single to give Scotts Valley a 4-2 lead. Scotts Valley held on in a bases loaded jam
in the bottom of the seventh to win 4-3.

Pitching for Scotts Valley was Jake Carli who threw for four innings and had four hits and two strikeouts; David Snider, who was the winning pitcher, threw for two innings and had one hit and three strikeouts; and Riley Hilton, who got the save, threw for one inning, had zero hits and one strikeout
